As a whole, this group was incredibly tight and (seemingly) incredibly comfortable; as if they’d been playing together for the past 20 years on the road, took a few years off, and are now reuniting as their old road-tested family once again
I could feel the respect through the screen while watching - very cool to see
The ease and patience from pianist Louis Bell was butter
The joy on bassist Bobby Wooten’s face that’s sprinkled throughout the video made me smile every time
Post getting lost in the performance and going to that magical-beyond-place during each song, only to come right back out to grace his audience with laughs and smiles between each chart-topper
Guitarist Emily Rosenfield, although in the very back, grooving to the rhythm in her soul throughout the performance
The fantastically clean and steady kick/snare support from drummer Destin Johnson on “Enough is Enough” (last song)
The quiet confidence and swag of cellist Kirin McElwain
The incredibly subtle yet powerful support of vocalists Hannah Juliano, Elliot Aguilar, and Chauncey Matthews; combined with the beautiful strings support of Kevin Kuh, Francesca Dardani, and Kiku Enomoto
